The little owl is a small owl with a flat-topped head, a plump, compact body and a short tail. Its facial disc is flattened above the eyes, giving it a frowning aspect, while its plumage is greyish-brown, spotted, streaked and barred with white. Its underparts are pale and streaked with darker colour. The adult little owl is about 22 cm in length with a wingspan of 56 cm and weighs around 180 g. It is white-speckled brown and brown-streaked white, with a large head, long legs, and yellow eyes with white "eyebrows". Juveniles are duller and lack the adult's white crown spots, and this species has a bounding flight similar to a woodpecker. This organic cotton T-shirt pays homage to the famous Little Owls of Athens, which have been a symbol of the city since Ancient times.
